Chuck Jones' Thomas Timberwolf

Thomas Timberwolf was a Webisode series developed by the late celebrated animator, Chuck Jones in the early 2000's. With all his Southern charms, Thomas Timberwolf explains that every time he says the word timber, that a tree falls on his head. He wants to show us advantages, but unfortunately, a bounty for timber wolves interrupts the demonstration.

Created, written and storyboarded by Chuck Jones, Timberwolf is a great series that will remind many of Jones of classics like Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Just like Wile, Thomas is a very smart predator trying to get his next dinner. Every trick mastered by Jones over the years is used in this Flash cartoon and we're all better for it. As the first episode of the series, there's enough to grab viewers' interests.

The animation is excellent, although not as staged as the television version of Jones' work. They cut many animation frames to produce this project. Yet the character design is all Chuck Jones. Timberwolf even resembles Wile E. Coyote very much. This series was with Warner Brother Animation for a while, but it seems to have been abandoned by the studio.

They're back online again? Yippee!!!

What are the chances that they'll end up on LT dvds? That would be something to look into.
