More 1970's Hanna Barbera Comics

Check out these cover scans of the Hanna Barbera titles I have in my collection.
There are even holiday annuals that are 10''x13'' in size.
Those "TV Stars" titles feature rare HB characters too. Who else has heard of Shake, Rattle & Roll?
Marvel Comics attempted to release other cartoon comics in the future such as all the titles in their "STAR Comics" line and also the quickly forgotten "Disney Afternoon" line.
If anything, Marvel should consider bringing back "Peter Porker: The Spectacular Spider-Ham".

More Hanna Barbera DVDs for 2007!

Announced on Earl Kress's blog, there are a slew of HB titles heading to DVD next year.
Here's the list:
Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, Space Ghost and Dino Boy, Wait Till Your Father Gets Home (Season 1), Wally Gator/Touche Turtle/Lippy the Lion(Complete), Scooby Doo Where Are You? (Season 3), The Banana Splits Adventure Hour, and Quick Draw McGraw (Complete Series).
Quick Draw of course would have other characters on it such as Augie Doggie & Doggie Daddy and Snooper & Blabber.
Good news for classic animation fans! Follow the link to read more:

As I mentioned before, Marvel Comics published a bunch of Hanna Barbera titles in the late 70's.
In each monthly issue, there was one page dedicated to the history and behind-the-scenes of Hanna Barbera studios.
Here are some scans from the issues I have in my collection:

Christmas Came Early

Here is the first released footage of the upcoming holiday movie, "Bah, Humduck! A Looney Tunes Christmas".

The animation looks very good. I like Gossamer's new design. Porky's daughter looks like an actual Looney Tunes character. Could a new series been in development?

Spaceballs Gets Animated

Mel Brooks is turning his 1987 film into an animated series to debut next fall.

Strip of The Week

Since this is my 200th post, I thought I'd do something special.
This is for all of you animation/comic book buffs out there!
I came across this Carl Barks' story in a 1992 issue of Tom & Jerry and Friends from Harvey Classics. I'm not sure of when then was originally published, but my guess would be sometime after the 1943 release of Tex Avery's "Dumb Hounded" before audiences knew "Hugo Hound's" real name is "Droopy".
