I have awesome family and friends that like to spoil me it would appear. I recieved thoughtful gifts for Christmas and my birthday that sport classic/modern cartoon characters 'a plenty!
A good amount of DVDs plus reading material!
First up, "Jerry Beck's The Hanna Barbera Treasury: Rare Art & Mementos from Your Favorite Cartoon Classic".
What a great read, 157 pages of classic Hanna Barbera mementos featuring cereal box prizes, comic books, rare model sheets, toys, story books, storyboards, and character profiles!
The main characters profiled for the book are Tom & Jerry, Ruff & Reddy, Huckleberry Hound, Pixie & Dixie with Mr. Jinks, Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, Augie Doggie & Doggie Daddy, Snagglepuss, The Flintstones, Top Cat, The Jetsons, Magilla Gorilla, Peter Potamus, Squiddly Diddly, Touch'e Turtle, Jonny Quest, Superheroes, Atom Ant, Secret Squirrel, Frankenstein Jr. & The Impossibles, Birdman, Space Ghost, Wacky Races and Scooby Doo.
From the Introduction: "Few households in America have not tuned in to a Hanna Barbera cartoon, owned mechandise based on their characters or shared a smile reminiscing over a favorite episode. Catchphrases such as 'Yabba Dabba Doo!', 'I'm smarter than the average bear!', and 'Rooby Roo!' are as recognizable now as they were to their original audiences."
The book is published by Insight Editions. If your a fan of these classic animated characters, I recommend in picking up this book. You won't be dissapointed!
