Jetsons: The Movie in 10 Parts

The eco-friendly 1990 feature from Hanna-Barbera Productions and Universal Pictures has been posted on YouTube. This film is unique in a number of ways.
It is one of the earliest animated features to feature CG animation in it's 'primitive' form.
Since Daws Butler passed away in 1988, Patrick Zimmerman took on the role of Elroy Jetson.
Both George O'Hanlon (George Jetson) and Mel Blanc (Mr. Spacely) both passed away during production. Jeff Bergman was hired to finish recording both roles for the film. You can hear 'changes' in both character's roles as the film goes on...
Janet Waldo (Judy Jetson) had recorded her role but was replaced by her 'singing' voice, 80's popstar, Tiffany to draw in a younger crowd.

Personally, I couldn't get enough of this movie when it was in theatres but now I can only bare to watch the opening segments when the family is still on Earth.
I really like the various animation studios' styles that make up this movie, it really reminds me of watching the early cartoon shows of the 90's.
I hope Warner Bros or Universial will feel the need to release this to DVD soon, and in it's original aspect ratio...

While I used to watch it a lot on tape back when it came out, I sorta don't miss it much anymore, and didn't care for Tiffany being in it either.

I guess since now that Warner Bros. owns the rights to the show and characters they are working on that new live action jetsons film for a 2009 release and Universal is joining production on that since that studio does owns the film rights of the 1990 cartoon film.
