Disney by Marvel

Around 1994 or so, Marvel Comics teamed up with the Walt Disney company to publish such titles as Aladdin, Beauty & The Beast, the Little Mermaid and the Disney Afternoon.I'm assuming because the Disney Comic line of the early 90's had gone out of business but still had stories to publish?I recently came across a collection of Disney/Marvel books in a back-issue bin at a local comic shop.It seems that The Disney Afternoon comic title was an excuse to give Darkwing Duck his own series, but that's all right with me.The title featured other Disney shows such as Bonkers, Goof Troop, TaleSpin and Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers. The title only ran for 10 issues from 94 - 95 then was promptly replaced with a new title, Disney Comic Hits. I believe that the other titles were not selling as well as they hoped for because all of the characters were combined into this single series.Disney Comic Hits even had more Disney characters in their own stories such as Pocahontas and Timon & Pumbaa plus others...I may have to pick up some of those. lol
