The Dark Knight

Well, the brand new Batman film opens across the country today!
Will it be the best film version of the Caped Crusader yet? I suppose only time will tell...

I saw it yesterday. Absolutely amazing. I hope Heath Ledger gets a posthumous Oscar for this performance.

Since now I consider "Batman Returns" a masterpiece, expecially because it's a real Tim Burton film (direction and timing are his very own) and for the amazing musical score.
I still consider animated "Mask of the Phantas" the best Batman feature though.

I'm curious to see this incarnation of the Joker. My idea of the Joker is that of the WB animated TV series by Timm and Dini. That's the true character.

It was the best live-action incarnation of The Joker yet. I also enjoyed Two Face as well...
I agree that the "Mask of the Phantasm" was a great Timm & Dini origin for Batman. Nothing can beat their version of The Joker that's for sure...

I completely agree that it was the best, live-action portrayal of the Joker to date... whoever attempts to take on the role next is going to have a really big pair of shoes to fill...
