Chuck Jones (Sept 21, 1912 - Feb 22, 2002)

It would be 9 years this day that Charles M. Jones passed away.
He was an animator, cartoon artist, screenwriter, producer and director of animated films, most memorably of the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts for the Warner Bros. Cartoons studio.
Soon after his passing, DC Comics' Looney Tunes title prepared a simple yet very fitting tribute to the great animation director.

That was a lovely tribute - the ending feels right up there with "Feed the Kitty", in my view. And I adored how LT master Dave imitated Jones's drawing style for this strip, also.

Wonderful - thanks for sharing, J.E! =)

Also soon after his passing, Sander Schwartz ran amok in that studio and cranked out the worst most sacrilegious garbage involving the Looney Tunes anyone could have imagined.
